Tape B is bringing bass to the block for his first curated Miami Music Week event.
When the annual electronic music party marathon returns this spring, the surging experimental bass star, who has set the scene on fire with his unique fusion of dubstep and old-school hip-hop, will headline his own Miami Block Party at Wynwood Marketplace on March 27.
The producer and DJ—real name Berk Alkanat—will be joined at the daytime bass event, which runs from 3-8PM, by a roster of highly touted dubstep and experimental bass acts, including fan-favorite riddim DJ Cyclops, popular low-end bass remixer Phrva, Los Angeles artist Ricky Remedy, and a TBA special guest.
“Had to make this first one proper so we have an absolute legend as a special guest,” Tape B wrote of the mystery booking on social media today.
In addition to the Miami show, the first half of 2025 will see Tape B touch down in cities like Toronto, Brooklyn, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more for a run of major headline gigs. He’s also slated to play Bonnaroo, Elements Festival, and Disco Presents’ Carolina Open Air through the summer.
On the production front, the Florida-born artist finished 2024 strong with the release of his latest eight-track EP, Distortion Theory, and has confirmed that the fourth installment of his famous CarTunes mix series is on the way soon.
