Techno Museum To Open In Europe

Now this is something we’d like to check out.

Europe is getting their own techno museum and it’s slated to open in Frankfurt, Germany. The space is pioneered by the one and only DJ Andreas Tomalla. Tomalla is credited for inventing the word “techno” and was behind the first club in Frankfurt to play only electronic music back in 1984.

The museum will host DJ classes, feature educational information about electronic music through various mediums, and of course, will feature nightlife events. A nightclub in a museum.

The museum space was given to Tomalla completely free of charge by the city of Frankfurt; a true testament to the music’s importance to the German culture.

The museum is slated to open in 2017, if all goes to plan. Techno viking approves.
