The Heat Is On: Get Ready For Coachella Weekend 2

The dust has settled from weekend 1 of Coachella. I watched all of the action on YouTube from the comfort of a couch all weekend long. I typically like to watch the performances from weekend 1 BEFORE I attend weekend 2. I do this so I won’t feel too bad about missing a set due to a time conflict or because I wouldn’t get off the grass or leave the beer garden. My must-see list for weekend 2 includes Justice, Richie Hawtin, Solomun, Tale of Us, Sasha and The Belleville Three. There are more on my list but that’s just a sample. I can’t wait to be back inside the Yuma tent! I’m also looking forward to spending time at The DoLaB stage as their weekend 2 lineup is INSANE:

Weekend 2 of The DoLaB:
Barclay Crenshaw
Billy Kenny
Jan Blomqvist
Jonas Rathsman
Jonnie King
Josh Billings & Nonfiction
Justin Martin
Lee Reynolds
Liquid Stranger
Lonely Boy
Mad Zach
Mikey Lion
Monte Booker
The Geek x VRV
The Librarian
Will Clarke

Coachella 2017 is bigger than ever.  It has been expanded to accommodate 25,000 more people. The festival expanded by 40 acres to make that happen. The Indio Police Department arrested a New York man for allegedly stealing over 100 cell phones from festival attendees. The tech savvy victims used the Find My Phone app to locate the thief and contacted police. Be sure to stay aware of your surroundings at big festivals like this. NEVER put your phone in your back pocket – or anything of value that can be snatched. Use a fanny pack and just be careful. Lockers are available to rent as well. There are some tickets left for weekend 2 on resale sites like Stubhub…but they are going pretty fast.

I will have a full report for you next week. Be sure to prepare for some scorching heat this weekend as temperatures will be above 100 degrees.

If you can’t attend the festival but still want to party – check out the DayClub Palm Springs pool parties taking place in downtown Palm Springs at the Hilton Palm Springs. Dillon Francis, Madeon and MAD DECENT will be taking over the pool this weekend. A 3-day pass is just $65! That’s a fantastic deal to party all weekend in the desert. Single day tickets are also available. You can purchase tickets here: .

I’ll see you at Coachella weekend 2! Oh, if you attended weekend 1 – let me know some of your favorite sets in the comments section!
