AQUA and Tiësto Join Forces for Epic Remix of Iconic Hit “Barbie Girl“

Danish dance-pop group AQUA and legendary Dutch DJ and music producer Tiësto have come together to deliver a groundbreaking remix of AQUA’s timeless hit song, “Barbie Girl.”

The revival of the Barbie anthem comes as a celebration of a new era for the iconic doll and was inspired by Tiësto’s daughter.

First making waves in 1997, “Barbie Girl” achieved great success, peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the years, it has garnered over 9 billion streams worldwide and amassed an astonishing 1 billion views on YouTube.

The song’s enduring popularity is further evident in its presence on TikTok, with over 1 million videos using the sound and accumulating more than 2.7 billion views.

The recent 25th anniversary of the track and the release of the upcoming Barbie film have sparked a renewed interest in the original version, leading to an incredible increase in listenership.

Tiësto’s fresh take on the ’90s classic is here to reignite the passion and the nostalgia associated with “Barbie Girl.”
