Since Tiësto, real name Tijs Michiel Verwest, launched his pure trance project VER:WEST at Tomorrowland‘s virtual festival, Around The World, last year, the dance music community has waited on pins and needles for new music.
So far Verwest has delivered two singles under the project: “Elements Of A New Life” and “5 Seconds Before Sunrise” (both allusions to big tracks from his early days). Now he will put out his first official remix tomorrow, October 1, 2021.
Verwest is remixing French 79’s downtempo vocal jam, “Diamond Veins,” featuring Sarah Rebecca. Other than the eerie melodies of his two previous singles as VER:WEST, there is no indication what quality his remix will add to the original. However, given his experience working with vocalists as Tiësto, it’s clear Rebecca’s voice work will be put to good use.
