Tiësto has released his remix of KUKO’s “Voicemail.”
The Dutch dance icon’s peak-time rework adds a trancey twist to the German hard techno star’s breakout 2024 hit, layering shimmering synths over the original’s high-speed kicks and soft voicemail sample in a high-profile evolution of KUKO’s simultaneously industrial and emotional sound.
“From the moment I heard this track, I knew I needed to make a Tiësto remix,” Tiësto said in a statement. “I loved the atmosphere and mood in it, but it was missing the Tiësto feel. Now, after remixing it, I personally think the record is perfect.”
A staple selection in Tiësto’s sets since the producer and DJ debuted it during his performance at EDC Las Vegas in May, the powerful cosign from one of dance music’s most internationally acclaimed artists thrusts KUKO further into the spotlight as he prepares to release his debut album, Catharsis, on September 25.
Later this year, KUKO’s All Night Long world tour in partnership with Unreal Germany rolls on to major dates in Chile, Spain, Germany, Serbia, and Australia, before the artist closes the run with a hometown show in Cologne in December.
