Leaping into the present from the epic days of the rave scene’s emergence from the underground, Insomniac’s legendary festival Together As One is back to ring in 2024 with some of the biggest headliners of the decade.
As the festival’s name implies, Together As One (aka TAO) carries a long legacy of bringing the extraordinary together in one place, and the star-studded lineup that awaits the Tacoma Dome in Washington on New Year’s weekend certainly delivers on that promise. Attendees can catch sets from festival mainstage headliners like The Chainsmokers, Tiësto, and Galantis and artists representing an exciting range of genres all on one stage.
On Saturday, the 30th, melodic bass icons Seven Lions and Crystal Skies share the stage with electro-pop staples Galantis and The Chainsmokers and PNW local talent like Alex Bosi. As the clock counts down to midnight on New Year’s night, headliners take the Tacoma Dome on a riveting journey with performances from Sullivan King, Alison Wonderland, Nostalgix, and Vanic before Trance Legends Above & Beyond ring in 2024, followed by a grand finale by OG superstar Tiësto.
This electrifying lineup also reaches into the festival’s iconic past as DJ Reza– one of the festival’s founders, kicks off the party on New Year’s night. DJ Reza (real name Reza Gerami) became a leader in the 1990s rave scene in Los Angeles along with insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella. The two rave scene icons became rival promoters as Insomniac and Gerami’s Go Ventures grew, but in 1998, they joined forces to create Together As One.
The festival would break boundaries over the next decade as the dance music scene expanded across SoCal and beyond before the event was discontinued when Insomniac and Go Ventures parted ways in 2011. Much has changed in dance music since then, and TAO’s return today celebrates an epic decade of evolution. Ravers can once again celebrate dance music’s past, present, and future in one place as they kick off the new year in TAO’s beautiful new home in the Pacific Northwest.
