Tomorrowland is bringing a new documentary about the globetrotting festival brand’s 20th anniversary year to YouTube.
Set for release on December 27, the 45-minute film, titled One Year, is said to reflect on the promoter’s milestone celebration with an immersive journey through “the heart and soul of Tomorrowland’s festivals and events throughout 2024,” according to a press release.
Over the last two decades, the world of Tomorrowland has grown to comprise much more than its flagship event in Belgium. In addition to bringing hundreds of the world’s best electronic acts and more than 400,000 attendees to De Schorre Park in Boom each year, the powerhouse promoter now hosts parties from the deserts of Dubai to the snowy peaks of the French Alps as part of its ever-growing portfolio of events.
As such, the in-house film production features extended video from every last one of its global events this year, including hallmark festivals like Tomorrowland Belgium, Tomorrowland Winter, and Tomorrowland Brasil, and special shows such as Terra Solis Dubai, the brand’s “Our Story” concert at ADE, and its dueling CORE events in Tulum and Medellín, among others.
Helping to tell the story of Tomorrowland’s 20th year in the business are renowned festival players like Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Indira Paganotto, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, and many more, in addition to attendee interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the Tomorrowland Atelier, the in-house team charged with building the festival’s intricate stages.
