Tomorrowland Brazil Will Return For At Least 10 Years

Tomorrowland will return to Brazil for another ten years.

Alongside local promoter DC Set and Brazil’s state departments of culture, economy, creative industries, infrastructure and logistics, Tomorrowland organizers We Are One World held a joint press conference in Itu, São Paulo last week to announce their ten-year commitment to holding Tomorrowland Brazil in the region.

After debuting in 2015 and taking a six-year hiatus, Tomorrowland Brazil returned to Itu, São Paulo’s Parque Maeda in 2023. Intense rain forced the festival to cancel day two, but organizers were able to dry out the grounds in time for day three.

In light of last year’s weather difficulties and the brand’s renewed commitment to the region, We Are One World also announced a series of investments and structural improvements to the festival site.

Spread over three years, R$30 million (roughly $5.7 million USD) will be invested into Parque Maeda to improve “internal mobility” and make the venue more “waterproof,” according to Eletro Vibez.

Natália Resende Ávila, São Paulo’s Secretary of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics, also announced a 12-month plan to improve routes to and from Parque Maeda. This government investment will total R$22 million (roughly $4.2 million USD).

Eletro Vibez reports that Tomorrowland’s current contract with Parque Maeda will run for 11 years—including 2024—with an option to renew for another 11 years. According to We Are One World, the economic impact of Tomorrowland Brazil 2023 totaled R$676 million (roughly $132 million USD). After ten years, they expect this number to reach R$9 billion (roughly $1.7 billion).

Tomorrowland ambassador and wildly popular Brazilian DJ Alok also spoke at the press conference, sharing that he “needed to be here celebrating this brand’s 10-year commitment.”

Tomorrowland’s “Adscendo”-themed edition of Tomorrowland Brazil will return to Parque Maeda from October 11-13, 2024.
