Tomorrowland is touching down in China for the first time ever.
The Belgian festival giant today unveiled “The Magic of Tomorrowland,” a new indoor show coming to Shanghai’s HERO DOME on November 22, marking the famed festival’s inaugural event in China.
Taking place in the heart of Shanghai, just steps from the city’s famous Bund waterfront, the show promises to bring together “music, innovation, and storytelling in a full immersive indoor experience,” according to a press release.
Helmed in partnership with Hero Esports, INS Land, and Budweiser, the show is said to mark a historic new chapter in the story of Tomorrowland, according to organizers, as the company looks to blend Tomorrowland’s global headliners “with the next wave of Chinese talent.”
It also marks the start of a long-term partnership between Tomorrowland’s One World Artists agency and Chinese venue and promoter INS Land, who are set to work together to introduce fresh global electronic talent to new audiences in China, Europe, and beyond.
Though lineups and ticket on-sale details won’t be shared until September, organizers promise rare and exclusive China performances from world-beating DJs, supported by a diverse lineup of selectors spanning multiple genres and continents.
The news comes days after the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand announced that Tomorrowland is set to debut in the Southeast Asian country for the first time in 2026, following a meeting with Tomorrowland CEO Bruno Vanwelsenaers, as reported by Travel Weekly Asia. Tomorrowland has not yet officially announced an event in Thailand.
Tomorrowland’s flagship festival in Belgium returns to De Schorre Park in Boom, this July 18-20 and July 25-27.
