Tomorrowland has just announced the theme for its 20th anniversary next year.
Announced today, the new theme ‘LIFE’ will “open up a new world in the beautiful scenery” of Boom, Belgium’s De Schorre Park, when Tomorrowland returns to its longtime home over the course of two weekends from July 19-21 and July 26-28, 2024.
The new ‘LIFE’ theme will serve as a prequel story to the festival’s 2016 ‘Elixir of Life’ theme. In a press release, Tomorrowland wrote that ‘LIFE’ will take “the People of Tomorrow back to a vibrant era in Silvyra, a world of lush nature, when the conjunction of the two moons is about to happen.”
The theme will illustrate additional storylines surrounding iconic Tomorrowland elements like “the origin of Mother Tree and her protector the Maze, the first brewage of the Elixir of Life and the genesis of the magnificent Rose Garden.”
In the same way that Tomorrowland shared last year’s ‘Adscendo’ theme, attendees will have an opportunity to read the complete ‘LIFE’ origin story in the festival’s second-ever “festival book,” before arriving in Belgium this summer.
The fantasy adventure novel, which will be released in the coming months, will provide all of the key story points that guide the design of Tomorrowland’s spectacular mainstage.
First held in 2005, Tomorrowland has grown to attract 400,000 attendees from dozens of countries around the world, who make the pilgrimage to De Schorre’s hallowed grounds for performances from hundreds of the world’s best electronic artists across 16 different stages each year.
Those hoping to experience the magic of Tomorrowland in 2024 can pre-register here, starting December 6 at 3PM CET (9AM ET). The festival’s first round of pre-sale will begin on December 14 at 3PM CET (9AM ET).
