Why You Should Start Traveling Abroad For Music Festivals

More and more people are ditching nights of dancing and are instead packing their bags for some insane festival adventures. Is traveling the new clubbing? It may seem so, especially since there are more festivals popping up around the world and many tricks for scoring cheap airfare. Here are the top 6 reasons why it’s time you start visting festivals abroad.

1. Freedom

When traveling, you have the freedom to do whatever you want. Freedom to see new sights, meet new people and try new things. Unlike a club, you can also dress however you want while on your adventure. Your only barrier will be the one you create for yourself.

2. New Friends

While traveling for festivals, you have the opportunity to meet new people from all walks of life and make new friends. This is also a lot easier to do than trying to make friends at a club. I mean you can barely hear anything over the music while on a dance floor. Plus, new friends in new places is always a perk when traveling. Have you partied with Europeans? Well, you need to!

3. You’ll Appreciate Home More

After an epic festival trip, you’ll find yourself wanting to explore new things at home. Whether it’s a new restaurant in a new part of town, or perhaps exploring a new hiking trail, you’ll find yourself wanting to explore your own hometown much more. That’s a good thing.

4. You’ll Find Yourself

Traveling will open your eyes, heart and mind to new experiences. This can also result in a new outlook on life. Often times, you’ll return home with a new appreciation for your own life. You will look at things in a new light. Traveling also allows you to disconnect from your normal day to day life. Change is good and what better change than to separate yourself from your daily life than party a festival in a new country. Who knows, you may end up finding a super cool new “getaway” spot!

5. You Create Memories of a Lifetime

Yes, it’s nice to go out to a club to dance and turn up. But let’s be honest, unless it’s one of your favorite DJ’s, you’ll probably just have another club night. However with traveling, you can create memories that will last a lifetime. I attended Groove Cruise LA for the first time last month. It totally beats going to a club! The memories I made on the boat are priceless. Traveling allows you to get out of your own comfort zone and explore everything around you. Those experiences you can take with you forever and will make you a better, more cultured person. We can all use a little of that.

6. You’re Spending Your Money Way More Wisely

Let’s be real: if you’re the average person, going out clubbing a few weekends a month is not cheap. In major cities, you can run up over $100 dollars easily with valet, Uber, drinks, party favors, etc. in just one night. All that money you’re spending to be in a hot, sweaty, overcrowded club you could be putting towards a festival travel fund.

Instead of clubbing a few nights a month, find something cheap to do and save your money to travel the world and experience festivals like Defqon.1, Tomorrowland. Did someone just say Netflix and chill?

See you abroad!
