4 Reasons Why We’re Excited For Ultra 2017

The nineteenth edition of Ultra Music Festival Miami is less than a week away and words can not express our excitement!

Next weekend thousands of fans from all over the world will descend upon Downtown Miami’s stunning Bayfront Park for three days of incredible performances from the world’s most grandiose musical artists.

World famous for it’s groundbreaking and unparalleled stage production, ULTRA has become an iconic figure in the festival world. The festival has reached new heights by expanding it’s brand successfully across multiple continents over the past few years. ULTRA touted 26 events across 17 countries and five continents last year. Over 1 million people attended Ultra events in 2016, with 165 million tuning in to UMF TV’s Ultra Live broadcast of the festivals.

This year’s ULTRA Miami will surely see an abundance of enhancements and unique experiences that only ULTRA knows how to deliver. These are just a few reasons why we’re excited for this year’s festival.

LIVE PERFORMANCES

This year’s festival will see live performances from Ice Cube, Major Lazer, Cypress Hill, ZHU, The Prodigy, Underworld, Justice and many more. ULTRA has proven itself as a leader in LIVE performances with a diverse lineup fit for just about every taste in music.

Justice will premiere their brand-new live show in the US at this year’s ULTRA Miami and it’s going to be a performance you will not want to miss. Take a look at the full lineup below.

RESISTANCE

RESISTANCE will also play a bigger role at this year’s festival. RESISTANCE will host TWO DAYS at the infamous Megastructure, and we’ll also see the return of the iconic and awe-inspiring Arcardia Spectacular Spider Stage. For the the first time, the legendary CARL COX will be curating the lineup for RESISTANCE. Expect performances from Carl Cox, Dubfire, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Sasha & John Digweed, Tale of Us and more over two days.

Sasha & John Digweed will appear at this year’s ULTRA, commemorating their first US experience together since Ultra Miami in 2010. That’s kind of a big deal.

MIAMI MUSIC WEEK

ULTRA is simply the icing on top of the cake during Miami Music Week. Miami Music Week is the infamous weeklong celebration of the best in dance music, with parties all day and all night! The party literally doesn’t stop. The best part? ULTRA ends at midnight, which allows for nightclubs to show off the biggest names in dance music in all their glory. ALL NIGHT LONG.

This year’s Miami Music Week events include solo shows from Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, and SO MANY MORE before and after Ultra Music Festival. So after ULTRA, head back to your hotel to refreshen up and continue the party into the night. This is Miami Music Week, after all.

THE LOCATION

Downtown Miami is the perfect location for ULTRA’s annual festivities. During the day, fans are treated to beautiful bay views right next to the main stage. There’s even places for you to sit and hang out right by the water in case you need to cool off. At night, Bayfront Park transforms into a neon-lit dance music heaven with the incredible Downtown Miami skyline standing right behind you. It’s surreal to see the massive buildings light up at night! Plus, many of the buildings surrounding the venue add immersive 3D mapping and stunning visuals to further enhance the experience. All you gotta do is just look up!

ULTRA Miami takes over Bayfront Park March 24, 25 and 26. General Admission tickets for this year’s ULTRA Music Festival are completely sold out, and limited VIP tickets remain. You can grab those here.

If you can’t make it to this year’s ULTRA Miami, stay tuned for livestream information on UMFTV.

See you in Miami!
