UMEK’s NFT will be launched by Blockparty and Viberate
World-renowned Techno DJ and producer UMEK has announced that he will be launching the first-ever live performance NFT on Blockparty on Thursday, April 29 at 8:00 PM GMT. UMEK joins a list of other top-tier electronic music artists such as Kygo, Don Diablo, Gareth Emery, and Calvin Harris, who have also stepped into the realm of non-fungible tokens.
UMEK’s live performance NFT will be offered on the Blockparty marketplace and will include five different NFTs: three exclusive remixes of his 1999 track, ‘Lanicor,’ one livestream performance, and one live gig. The purchaser of the NFT’s will either book UMEK for an exclusive online or real-life performance. When asked about his upcoming NFT’s, UMEK disclosed that,
“I’ve been actively involved in the crypto scene for the last couple of years, especially Viberate, the music research and analytics platform I co-founded, also includes blockchain technology. I was definitely inspired by NFTs and all the creative ways other artists went about them, so I developed my own concept: booking live gigs through NFTs.”
