New Club [UNVRS] To Open On Former Site Of Privilege Ibiza In 2025

A new nightclub is set to open on the former site of Privilege Ibiza next year.

[UNVRS], dubbed “the world’s first hyperclub,” will open by the summer of 2025 and is helmed by The Night League, the ownership group behind White Isle superclubs like Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.

Today, the group revealed that last month’s viral UFO sighting at Ibiza’s Es Vedrá viewpoint, which garnered over 52 million views, international headlines, and even an investigation by local authorities, was actually a well-executed announcement stunt for the new nightclub.

A video shared by the club on social media today shows global entertainer Will Smith “cracking the case,” following Night League founder, owner, and CEO Yann Pissenem to the roof of the new venue, which features a dome unmistakably identifying it as the famous former site of Privilege.

“This campaign has been truly out of this world. Revealing the name with a viral sensation is just the beginning,” Pissenem said in a press release. “Seeing so many media outlets, celebrities, and influencers engage with the story has been incredible and having the possibility to reveal the brand with such an iconic actor like Will Smith was a dream come true. Now that the truth is out there, we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new universe in 2025 as we launch the world’s first Hyperclub.”

Once hailed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “world’s largest nightclub,” Privilege closed in 2019 after its license was suspended for making illegal structural changes to increase capacity. Rumors of the club’s reopening swirled last year after the venue reportedly received nearly $9 million USD in government funding for renovations.

Now in its stead, organizers say [UNVRS] will combine the high-end luxury service of markedly smaller nightclub environments with the scale and ambition of arena events, bolstered by world-class audiovisual production from Romain Pissenem, the founder of renowned global production company High Scream, which delivers custom production packages for artists at Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, and other global events.
