Upgraded Points Conducts Study To Reveal Cheapest Airlines for Last-Minute Flights

Upgraded Points has analyzed and found the cheapest airlines for booking last-minute flights in and out of major airports.

The study identified ten of the most popular domestic flights and used Google Flights data to find and average the lowest-cost one-way tickets over a period of ten days.

They found that five major domestic airlines, Spirit, United, American, Southwest, and Delta, offer the lowest cost last-minute flights.

Spirit was the overall winner with Southwest as the second-most affordable.

United had the cheapest flight from LAX to San Francisco International with American taking the crown from JFK to LAX due to limited flight availability.

And for those looking for a quick getaway, the least expensive last-minute trip was LAX to San Francisco with Las Vegas to LAX and Denver to Las Vegas close behind.
