Insomniac Announces Virtual EDC Lineup, COVID-19 Relief Fund For Dance Music Fans

The Virtual EDC lineup has landed!

After this year’s EDC Las Vegas had to be postponed earlier this year due to the ongoing pandemic, the folks at Insomniac have come together to put on a virtual version of North America’s largest dance music festival. Insomniac has pivoted to live streaming events with their frequent “Virtual Rave-A-Thons.” So far the virtual events have racked in nearly 18 million views from over 100+ countries.

Today Insomniac also announced the live stream will benefit Rave Recovery, a relief fund created specifically for dance music fans who have in some way been impacted by COVID-19. Insomniac has teamed up with charitable organization In Place of War to promote this wonderful cause, and a portion of all funds collected will also be donated to In Place of War’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

“Looking out for one another and giving back have been cornerstones of rave culture since people first set foot on the dancefloor,” says Rotella. “With so many people experiencing hardships brought on by COVID-19, those principles are more important than ever. Even though we’re isolated, no one should feel alone. Rave Recovery was created to support fans dance music community who need assistance—and hopefully inspire others to reach out, connect, and give back.”
