DJ/producer duo, VRDGO, have just dropped the track of the summer, “That Girl.” Hailing from Northern California, the brothers began their journey as street magicians and have evolved into world-class artists.
The track begins with a tribal house beat and samples an iconic track by Bell Biv DeVoe. While “Poison” has seen many remixed renditions since it was released, VRDGO’s “That Girl” gives it a bouncy club feel, and is a perfect song for the summertime.
This tech-house style track fuses tribal percussion with a pulsating and hypnotic rhythm throughout.
The duo consists of brothers Anthony and Gabriel Verdugo who have been drawn to performing their whole life. They began by performing street magic together and, as they grew up, transitioned into making music during college.
They have since released heavy-hitting tracks such as “SWEET NOTHING” and “This Life,” both certified bangers.
“That Girl” is a welcomed deviation from the duo’s previous bass and big-room house sound. The duo says they have evolved as artists and plan to release many more tracks that DJ’s will love.
The duo wanted to forgo releasing the track on a label, according to an Instagram post made this past week. They said, “We are really focused on making music that is authentic to us.”
They also mentioned that they liked the track so much, they did not want to rely on a label to help push it forward. We agree and appreciate their dedication to being themselves and sharing that with listeners.
