Warner Music Launches Pan-Asian Dance Music Label

‘Whet Records’ will collaborate with developing artists and DJ’s around the world

Zoe Yang is ‘Whet Records‘ China Divisions’ head and will look to expand Warner Music’s newly announced pan-Asian dance music label to audiences around the world. Yang has experience throwing EDC China and Ultra Music China and will now co-direct with the previous head of Mixmag Asia, Jonathan Serbin.

Whet Records was able to sign DJ Lizzy Wang (the first label signee) who was actually the first female Chinese DJ at Ultra. Wang has also been able to perform at EDC and Jungle Festival among others and has released the first single on the label, ‘Flexy.’ ‘Flexy‘ is an anthem towards female empowerment and features Norwegian Warner Music artist, Julie Bergan.

When asked about joining the label, Lizzy Wang disclosed to Digital Music News that she is, “excited to join the team at Whet Records and Warner Music.”
