Last week, We Belong Here unveiled initial details for a new party series coming to New York City’s Governors Island. Now, the boutique festival brand is back with the first batch of artists slated to perform at the six-date showcase this summer.
We Belong Here will open their Governors Island summer series on Friday, May 24, 2024 with the deep house sounds of This Never Happened artists Le Youth and Rinzen, Anjunadeep standout Simon Doty and local NYC selector Exstra.
On Saturday, May 25, We Belong Here will host performances from multi-faceted singer-songwriter, DJ and producer Aluna, UK tech house artist Chapter & Verse and Lucky Luke. The May 25 show will also feature a to-be-announced special guest.
We Belong Here will then close out weekend one on Governors Island with a three-hour set from SIDEPIECE, alongside further support from Sam Blacky, Bakke and Not Not Down on Sunday, May 26.
The party will pick back up the following weekend with breakout melodic techno artist Korolova and TBA special guests on Friday, May 31. Bakermat, Nora Van Elken, A.S.A. and even more special guests are scheduled to perform on Saturday, June 1. We Belong Here’s final lineup for Sunday, June 2 remains unannounced at this time.
Each event in the We Belong Here Governors Island party series will begin at 4PM ET.
Home to the inaugural Governors Ball Music Festival in 2011, Governors Island offers sprawling greenspace and beautiful views of the Manhattan skyline, just a short ferry ride from the city.
