Zeds Dead & Blanke Collab For Their Heaviest Track This Year, “The Machines”

After a career that spans nearly 13 years, Zeds Dead continue to innovate.  The Deadbeats label bosses have just come together with the genre-bending artist Blanke for their new track “The Machines.” This is a highly-anticipated set ID, recently played by Zeds Dead with Blanke at Red Rocks.

The track begins melodic, a Blanke signature. Then it picks up into a face-melting, glitchy drop before heading back into peaceful piano. It’s a captivating balance between soft cinematics and nasty beats. Both artists are looking to continue their intense year with their heaviest banger so far.

“The Machines” marks the fourth release from Zeds Dead in 2022, following “Think of You” with Blunts & Blondes and singles “I Took A Ride” and “In My Head.” Other releases give a taste of their brand new label Altered States, which explores house, downtempo, and dubstep-adjacent genres.

Blanke is one of the hottest risers this year, having worked with Seven Lions, Deathpact, Jason Ross, and Gryffin. He’s a regular on Deadbeats as well as Seven Lion’s label, Ophelia Records. This weekend he will captivate the crowd at Insomniac’s longest-running festival Nocturnal Wonderland.
