11 Reasons Why We Can’t Wait For EDC Las Vegas

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is this month. The massive electronic dance music festival takes over the Las Vegas Motor Speedway June 19-21. This year expect a lot of new changes, from the layout to the stages. I have attended over 10 EDC’s and they keep getting bigger and better every year. EDC is my favorite festival for many reasons as listed below:

  1. The Music.

This year, expect to be leveled as Avicii makes his triumphant return to EDC Las Vegas. There will be some spectacular sets by world class DJ’s on 8 stages this year. Galantis, Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Carl Cox, Duke Dumont, UMEK, Loco Dice and Darren Styles are on my must-see list. In all there will be 30 hours of music from more than 200 DJ’s!

  1. The Stages

As I mentioned, there will be 8 stages this year. Main stage is called “Kinetic Field.” It will be the largest stage ever built in North America. I’m SO EXCITED to see what Insomniac does this year, as last year’s Owl Cathedral stage was EPIC!!!

What I have learned about the stages for EDC Las Vegas 2015 is that Insomniac promises a merger of technology and nature. Look for redesigns of Cosmic Meadow and Neon Garden stages. Be sure to check out EDC’s newest stage, the groovy Funk House stage. You’ll be shaking your booty here all night long!

  1. The Morning Sunrise

If you have ever closed out EDC than you have experienced the magic that is the sunrise hour. As the moon begins to fade away and the sun slowly makes its ascent in the sky, you’ll witness the epic EDC sunrise. The energy that the crowds and DJ’s give off during sunrise is nothing short of amazing. Be sure to close out the festival early Monday morning at Kinetic Field. This will be a life changing and very emotional moment. TRUST ME. All I can say is Dash Berlin has made us all cry in years past.

  1. VIP Amenities

I was going to purchase a VIP pass again this year, but decided to just get a general admission pass. I’m sorry I made that decision. VIP’s have their own BALL PIT this year. YES, a massive ball pit for you to jump around in. Not only that, but there are new VIP viewing platforms complete with free drinks and appetizers! (If you are hungry)

  1. The Costumes

Right now, ravers across the world are busy putting their finishing touches on their costumes. Others are probably just starting to figure out what to wear. When you enter EDC, you’ll be transported to a true fantasy world complete with out of this world costumes. It’s always exciting to see how your friends dress up for EDC and what theme your squad picks for costumes! For many, less is more. Be sure to wear a few extra kandi bracelets to trade with the new friends you make!

  1. Confetti

Insomniac Events will be making it rain confetti all night long. More than 15,000 pounds of confetti will be sailing through the sky over the three day festival.

  1. Free Wi-Fi

Sometimes getting a text message to send is a daunting task. Fortunately, Insomniac will be providing free wi-fi this year. This will enable you to keep in touch with friends at the festival and beyond. Plus you can now post the fun to your Instagram all night long, if you choose. Just be sure to unplug once in a while to enjoy everything that is EDC. Oh, there will be free charging stations for you to use as well! It will be interesting to see how this all works out.

  1. The Artwork

What I love about EDC is that there is always something bright and flashy to catch your eye. You’ll want to dedicate some time wandering around EDC to look at some of the artwork. A few of the installations are hands-on and interactive. They will blow your mind. Trust me.

  1. People Watching

It’s a good thing to take a break from dancing all night long. When you do that, park yourself on the grass at Cosmic Meadow. There, you will be provided with a prime people watching spot. Let your eyes take in the sights and sounds of EDC. You’ll be sure to witness some bizarre and crazy happenings.

  1. The Rides.

There is NOTHING like riding the rides at EDC. One you need to ride is the giant ferris wheel. It gives you a birds-eye view of the festival and some quality alone time with your friends high up in the sky. The rides are FREE to ride all night long. My advice, get to EDC early so you can ride the rides without standing in long lines. From the Giant Swings to The Zipper, EDC has a number of heart-racing rides that will give you thrills and chills!

  1. The Fireworks

Insomniac pulls out ALL of the stops when it comes to their fireworks shows at EDC. They are bigger and longer than many 4th of July fireworks displays! When the fireworks go off over EDC, everyone will stop and watch the dazzling display in the electric sky! They are epic.

I seriously could go on and on about EDC. I get to celebrate my actual birthday at EDC this year on Friday!

Feel free and tell us what is your favorite part about the festival in the comments section.

Be sure to start preparing now as EDC is literally right around the corner!

See you in Sin City.
