Deadmau5 has been taking Miami Music Week by storm, and it sounds like Ultra Music Festival attendees are in for a double dose of the mouse. He was already scheduled to play an evening set Sunday on Armin Van Buuren‘s I’m In A State of Trance stage, but now Mr. Zimmerman will be filling in tonight (Saturday) at 11 PM ET on the Ultra Live Stage for The Prodigy. The Prodigy trio was forced to cancel their closing set in accordance doctor’s orders for bandmate, Maxim, who’s just recently become very ill. Deadmau5 just tweeted the news now:
Well… As it turns out, looks like I’ll be closing the live stage tonight at @ultra from 11-12 … And tomorrow. #ultra2016 #lastminutemau5

I mean… Look. Nobody can ever replace the Prodigy. wishing them well and a speedy recovery. I’ll do my best to throw down in their stead.

It’s been quite the week already for the Mau5. He performed a B2B with Eric Prydz at Friday’s Sirius XM Lounge party that has everyone talking. And then they kept talking as he called out Spotify for being unprepared for his performance at their Electro Now Miami party. Who knows what festival goers should expect from his set tonight!
