5 Reasons Why You Should Attend Life Is Beautiful

Life Is Beautiful is a festival that I’ve wanted to attend ever since it debuted in 2013 in Downtown Las Vegas. It appealed to me because it sounded so different than the other festivals around at that time. Ever since 2013, the festival has grown and has become increasingly popular. The three-day festival combines huge artists and bands to highly respected guest speakers, and tons of art and great food. Each year the festival strives to make the festival experience better for attendees by adding new additions each year.

I have not attended Life Is Beautiful just yet, but I am planning to go this September and finally checking it out!

Besides the incredible music lineup they have this year, below are some reasons why I want to attend Life Is Beautiful:

1. Different Than Any Festival You’ll Attend

Life Is Beautiful is set in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas that gives off a unique, urban vibe. Downtown Las Vegas is where many locals hang out and check out the street art rather than do the typical nightlife on the strip. The festival brings people from all over to experience music, art, and ideas. They even have upscale cuisine and food trucks! Through a friend, I heard that there is re-entry at the festival which is something that most festival don’t offer. If you feel like leaving the festival and checking out the strip for a bit you can still come back and dance the night away later.

2. They Offer An Interactive Art Experience

Each major festival has their own way of setting up art structures but Life Is Beautiful takes it to another level. At this festival you can see artists painting on canvases live. This year, they are bringing back a popular Art Motel installation that will be reimagined by Santa Fe art collective Meow Wolf. There are also galleries and art exhibits to check out where you can view and purchase original artwork and prints by local and national artists. he gallery will display work by Matt Skiba, Mark Ryden, Shag, Tara McPherson, Shepard Fairey, Brandon Boyd, and many more.

3. Idea Series

Life Is Beautiful’s Idea Series adds a whole new element to the festival. A variety of thinkers and speakers share their stories to the audience to inspire. No other festival takes the approach of education and inspiration like Life If Beautiful which is one of the coolest aspects of the festival. This year scientist and educator,  Bill Nye, returns to speak and educate attendees. Whatever he decides to speak about this year you know it will be interesting and contain vital information about the world around us. Thousands of people checked Nye out when he first attended the festival in 2015.

4. The Food

Trying food at any festival is a must. This year the festival is offering attendees with a curated lineup of culinary options from top tastemakers, food trucks and restaurants. Attendees will be welcomed with over 40 eateries from the around the world and get to enjoy food and discover new vendors. Throughout the three-day celebration, guests can feast upon a wide variety of delicious dishes including Asian, Mexican, seafood, vegetarian, barbecue, desserts and much more. If you get  VIP or All-In pass you will be able to enjoy exclusive menu items.

5. There Is Something For Everyone

There is so much to explore at Life Is Beautiful, from different music genres to incredible art. There is truly something for every fan of all walks of life and styles of music. Fans can expect to hear EDM, Rock, Rap, and Alternative. From GRAMMY Award winners to upcoming artists, the lineup features over 60 unique and exciting acts. Because this event showcases many talented artists, musicians, and presenters, there is so much to do and see during the three-day festival. My plan is to arrive early and plan ahead to get the most of out of my experience.

Celebrate life at Life Is Beautiful by dancing to the music, hearing stories, trying food, and explore the art! The three day festival takes place along the Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas from September 22-24.  Don’t miss out on this unique festival experience.
