Today Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella took to Instagram Live to answer questions about upcoming events and the Coronavirus outbreak. This week, Insomniac was forced to postpone its annual Beyond Wonderland until June due to the current pandemic but reassured fans festivals will go on as planned.
With tons of uncertainty around events and festivals, one thing was clear — Pasquale and the Insomniac team are confident EDC Las Vegas 2020 will still take place this May. Here are some of the takeaways from today’s impromptu Instagram Live:
EDC Las Vegas
-Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac is very confident EDC will be happening in 2020.
-Pasquale recently spoke with Governor, hotels, and businesses really want EDC to happen.
-EDC wristbands will be shipping in April as planned
-Will give ample notice if EDC gets postponed, but if anything EDC will not cancel, but postponed.
-But again, very confident EDC will happen.
-New protocols at EDC Las Vegas to make it more sanitary and “set the bar”
-Surprise DJs will be at EDC that aren’t on the lineup.
-Pasquale Would love to see a Tiesto trance set at EDC, and if a petition is started, he will sign it and share with Tiesto.
Beyond Wonderland
-80% of the same artists at Beyond
-The Insomniac team is very excited about Beyond Wonderland.
-Beyond Wonderland at the Bay — no plans as of yet.
-Kayzo confirmed he will be at Beyond Wonderland in June.
