After months of reassurance that the show would go on for Electric Zoo Cancun this coming April 7th through 11th, the festival has confirmed as of this morning that the show has now been rescheduled to November 10th to 14th, 2021. This was set to be the debut show for Electric Zoo in Cancun after announcing the expansion last July.
The five-day, four-night event promised takeovers of local nightclubs and endless pool parties at the best resorts in the beautiful Mexican paradise of Quintana Roo. With packages that included tickets, hotel rooms, food, and drink, festival tickets quickly sold out as fans eagerly looked forward to live events going into 2021. Regarding the event, Electric Zoo organizers hyped up the event by stating, “Imagine if the music and feel of EZoo married a Dream Beach Vacation, and made a baby. Well, #EZooFam, that baby is here.”
The news of the cancellation at this point in time does not come as much of a shock considering the current status of live events and continuing spread of coronavirus. The April festival featured several big-name headliners including Alesso, Kaskade, Nora En Pure, Adventure Club, Cash Cash, and others. Now that the event has been rescheduled to later this year, festival organizers have added Diplo to the mix. Thankfully, Electric Zoo offered guests a “COVID-19 money-back guarantee” upon purchase, so guests now have the opportunity to either get a full refund or roll over the tickets to the new date.
