Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz band members) are celebrating 20 years of their self-titled debut album which was released on March 26 back in 2001. The Gorillaz self-titled album features some of the band’s most memorable tunes including ‘Clint Eastwood’ and ‘Tomorrow Comes Today.’ The album is now certified platinum and appeared at No. 3 in the UK charts at one point in time. According to DJ Mag, the album has sold 974,311 copies in the past two decades.

In celebration of their debut album, the band has teased the idea of reissuing the album later on this year as well as a series of re-releases. The band has also partnered with Superplastic (a character-based product and animated entertainment company) for a limited-edition toy and NFT digital art collection which will feature each individual member of the band. In addition to the re-release of their debut album and NFT, the band is set to relaunch their Gorillaz clothing line, G-Foot, later on this year.
