The U.S. Forest Service for Tonto National Forest reported that more than 5,000 people attended an illegal party in Arizona last weekend. In the report, the U.S. Forest Service states that officers were patrolling near the Lower Sycamore Creek Recreation Area when they stumbled upon thousands of people who appeared to be gathered for a large, outdoor event.

The forest service immediately began dispersing the crowd and subsequently handed out numerous violations for DUI’s, double riding, speeding, illegal use of fireworks, and target shooting. Additionally, it is stated in the U.S. Forest Service press release that there were 7 vehicle accidents and multiple stolen off-highway vehicles.

Per the Tonto National Forest Service, a permit must be submitted and approved for all commercial and non-commercial gatherings of over 75 people. Obviously, this situation completely violates all regulations pertaining to commercial and non-commercial gatherings of over 75 people, however, no arrests have been made.
