New York City Will Fully Reopen July 1

NYC

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed via an appearance on MSNBC’S Morning Joe

Yesterday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed to reporters that New York City will ‘fully reopen’ by July 1 and that this upcoming summer will be “the summer of New York City.” For the past year, New York City has been one of the most affected cities in the United States. However, the state currently has distributed 6.3 million vaccines, which has played a tremendous role in New York City’s ability to re-open this summer. So far, a number of iconic NYC venues have already re-opened. Citi Field and the American Museum of Natural History are just a few of these venues.

Bill de Blasio goes on to comment that he believes NYC’s public schools will be back up and running full-time by September. Obviously, there will be other parts of the city that will take more time to recover, but New York City is well on its way to returning to its pre-pandemic state.
