Next year, the widely regarded Ocaso Festival will return to Tamarindo, Costa Rica for its fifth anniversary from January 6-11. This event features a top-rated lineup against a jungle backdrop and beautiful oceanside views, but the main focus is inclusivity.
Unlike most festivals in this day and age, Ocaso has no VIP options or amenities. Every attendee enjoys the same communal experience, harkening back to the roots of underground culture. This approach also allows the festival to be remarkably inexpensive offering full six-day festival passes at just $109 for residents of Latin America and $159 for international guests.
“Ocaso does not support or believe in exclusion of any type. This is not what we believe the underground is about and it does not respect the roots of this movement. Ocaso does not have a VIP area, does not have a VIP pass, does not have bottle service or anything that is not to be enjoyed by every single attendee. We believe we are all the same and no walls should be placed between us,” the Ocaso team said in a statement.
On the music front, headliners like the modern queen of techno, Amelie Lens, and the ever-versatile selector, Seth Troxler will revel in this organic intimate experience playing long into the night and then early into the morning.
Tickets for Ocaso Festival 2022 go on sale Thursday, October 21. Check out the full phase one lineup below and stay tuned for the phase two! For more information click here.
