The omicron variant has claimed another festival. Today, The BPM Festival Costa Rica announced they will be postponing the event after the Costa Rican President implemented new restrictions surrounding COVID-19.
The new restrictions will ban all events between January 11-23, 2022. The festival was set to take place January 12-18.
“After more than a year of planning and looking forward to welcoming you to our 15th anniversary edition, we sympathize with your sense of disappointment and frustration and are beyond heartbroken to share this news with you,” BPM Festival stated in an Instagram caption.
Current full-week ticket holders now have the option to credit their festival pass to the 2023 event, exchange their ticket for official festival merchandise. or receive a refund. The refund will be 85 percent of the price, as 15 percent is non-refundable. Single-day ticket holders will automatically receive a refund.
