Drum ‘n’ Bass is a multi-faceted genre that’s infectious with its percussion, kicks, and deep basslines, and it will be taking over Tulum, Mexico this April. With that being said, junglists, it’s time to pack your bags and freshen up your stepping because LOCUS is making its inaugural Tulum splash-down for 4 days starting on April 7, 2022, at Mia Beach Club. The fourth day will be taking place in a yet-to-be-disclosed location.
In a town where House and Techno are kings, LOCUS is showing the world that Drum ‘n’ Bass has something to offer with the biggest DnB lineup ever in North and South America! From liquid to jungle and Neurofunk, this line-up hits all the right categories for bass and DnB lovers. Just last week, their phase 2 line-up announcement was made, giving us the completed list of DJs who will be performing. The 4-day fest will play out as follows:
Rolling out at 2 PM on Thursday, April 7, the Brazilian icon, DJ Marky, will kick start this eventful weekend alongside English DnB producer, dBridge, the duo Instra:mental, and Mexican legends in the scene, Isaac Maya and Viewer.
Following up with another thrilling day on Friday, April 8, the pilots Fabio & Grooverider, will be coming through with the sounds of Jungle and supported by acts like Dub Phizix & Strategy, Kolya, Dave Owen, and New York’s one-and-only female, DJ Strife.
On the third day, April 9, the sounds start to get more melodic and liquid-y with Hospital Records legend, London Elektricity, and other liquid DnB dons like Etherwood, Technimatic, Visages, and Submorphics.
LOCUS adds the cherry on top during its last day, April 10, by closing the festival with the grimy and guaranteed stank-face sounds of Workforce, Seba, Commix, Sam Binga, and duo Quadrant & Iris. LOCUS curators guarantee that this will be “a Drum ‘N’ Bass experience in paradise,” you don’t want to miss out on.
