Iconic London Venue Printworks To Close Doors For Good

Printworks London, the iconic warehouse venue that has hosted the likes of British dance music legends like Patrick Topping, Charlotte De Witte, Bicep, and Netsky, is set to close its doors.

Plans to close were set back in October of 2021, but recently a London council formally marked a renovation despite countless protests. The building and surrounding areas are now officially being transformed into co-working spaces.

There is no official news of when doors are going to close for good, but Broadwick Live, the venue management company, is already looking to construct a new venue under the Printworks banner.

Printworks London opened in 2017 and was once home to the largest printing factory in Western Europe. The space hosted both electronic and live artists and was well-known in the British music scene. During the pandemic, Printworks closed for 18 months in order to protect the public’s health, although this did not influence the closure.
