Artist Radar: Distrix Brings Powerful And Modern Hardcore To The States With “Immortal”

Hardstyle comes to the states with Texas-born artist Distrix. His sound is powerful, pounding, and in-your-face, but with a refined style that only comes from his almost 20 years in the dance music scene.

Now his newest track, “Immortal“, is here to have you fist-pumping well into the summer sunrise.

Distrix, real name Manuel Torres, began spinning hard house, hard trance, and breaks, fueled by an obsession with the dark ambiance of early EDM. His first Subground EP launched in 2015 on one of the genre’s most respected labels, Gearbox Digital.

He combined a love for beautiful melodies with that passion for harder beats to create his current sound, believing there is beauty within hardstyle and hardcore music.

Now he’s put that love into “Immortal” a hardcore piece that punches with classic kicks and non-stop energy. The concept came from the movie Immortal and explores the idea of being alone in your darkest moments.

It also centers around finding the strength to discover your true power and rise from the ashes. This powerful anthem inspires the listener to overcome with a euphoric hardstyle melody, modernized by a cinematic feel.

Distrix has already received great recognition in the industry and is sure to skyrocket in the near future. He’s a staple in the Dutch hardstyle scene and has long-time support from British hard dance heavyweight Kutski. Now he’s looking to bring the European domination to the U.S to further support American artists.

Distrix told EDM Maniac, “It’s not just what I love though that fueled this fire; I wanted my tracks to be remembered and felt deeply.” With “Immortal”, the creative artist and producer is one step closer to this goal. Keep up to date on his music on his website.
