Barclay Crenshaw & Eprom Drop Remixes To Yung Skrrt’s Oddball Track, “McDonalds”

Barclay Crenshaw and Eprom are two underground bass producers who unequivocally love to experiment. Doing just that today releasing both artists’ remixes to Yung Skrrt’s hip-hop track “McDonalds.”

After discovering the fast food-themed hip-hop track on Bandcamp, Barclay Crenshaw and Alexander Dennis, better known as, Eprom, each crafted remixes befitting their DJ sets.

Wrapping the Yung Skrrt original in lurching basslines and gritty synths, Crenshaw brings “McDonalds” to the gloaming side with his remix which is a heavy companion to the acidic remix delivered by Dennis.

Convulsing with offbeat percussion and wonky, exploratory tones, Eprom transforms “McDonalds” into a glitchy underground plunging cut. Together, Crenshaw and Dennis’s spirited new variations celebrate the outlandish, oddball lyricism of the original.

Barclay Crenshaw is the alter ego and real name of Dirtybird label boss Claude VonStroke. What started as a side project quickly took on a life of its own full of funk and bass. Crenshaw’s tracks have featured hip-hop vocalists such as The Underachievers, The Cool Kids, and Cam & China, as well as collaborations with Mr. Carmack, Salva, and Eprom.

Dennis is a Grammy-nominated producer who is widely considered one of the most ingenious minds in electronic music, continuously earning the respect and admiration of his fans and peers through his cutting-edge sound design, remarkable style, and unforgettable stage presence.

Varying from tainted hip-hop to scorching garage mutations to bizarre concoctions somewhere in between, Eprom is cemented as one of the conquerors of the underground.
