ILLENIUM Shares A Sci-Fi Adaptation Of His “Origin Story” In New Graphic Novel

Grammy-nominated melodic bass producer ILLENIUM is venturing into an exciting new frontier: comic books.

The record-breaking performer has teamed up with publisher Z2 Comics to tell a sci-fi adaptation of his “origin story” in an “epic tale that spans across the ages” with his new graphic novel ILLENIUM Presents Starfall.

The book, which hits shelves on November 21, is a continued exploration into sci-fi storytelling for ILLENIUM, who released an animated short film of the same name back in May, complete with original music from his latest album.

For the new book, ILLENIUM has worked with accomplished writer Frank Marraffino and visual artists Pablo Andrés, Luis Expósito Hernandez and Emilio Adrias to build a “cold, totalitarian society” in which protagonist Nick must overcome his dark past with the help of a mysterious ally named Ash.

A synopsis for ILLENIUM Presents Starfall adds, “To transcend the dystopia he helped create, Nick will have to battle demons of addictions and unearth the secrets of ILLENIUM.”

Of the forthcoming release, ILLENIUM said, “The chance to bring my origin story to life in graphic novel form has always been a dream of mine. This will be unlike anything anyone has ever seen from me before.”

Z2 Comics Vice President of Marketing Steve Ettinger said, “At Z2, we’re constantly looking for partners to tell enthralling stories where music and comics collide, and ILLENIUM is the perfect collaborator.”

He continued, “Whether through his intoxicating live shows or engrossing albums, ILLENIUM is a master entertainer and we’re overjoyed to explore a new avenue to delight his fans.”

The new ILLENIUM book won’t be the first EDM collaboration for Z2 Comics, who also worked with Alison Wonderland on a graphic novel companion to her 2022 album, Loner.

ILLENIUM Presents Starfall is now available for pre-order here starting at $79.99.
