Lots of “cool people” as Kaskade is calling them are criticizing Kaskade and calling him a “sell out” for the “Animals/Turn it down” mashup he released recently, calling the track “over-played” and “recycled.”
Kaskade took to Twitter to address these comments:
Ok hey I have a multi tweet thing in my head. Something I want to share… you know just between friends.

Ok so I see some cool kids commenting that "Animals" is played out and that I suck for putting the mash up, up. And this started me thinking
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
that record came out in the end of June. Since then there has been roughly 16 weekends… (keep following me here this is the set up)
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
so since this track has never been played on the radio and the ONLY place you can hear it is in a club…
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
…you have had the chance to hear this 32 times since it's release. This is assuming you go out to a club 2X a week.
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
Soooooooooo if you are REALLY sick of this tune (totally possible) then I just want to say as a friend…
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
…you might be going out to the club too much. Might be time for some other hobbies… like reading a book. Or photography.
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
I know we are friends and I wanted you to hear it from me in a nice way… ya know just trying to help my homie out.
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
Some of you are trying to add festival plays into my equation, yeah I forgot that part…
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
but those festivals are way to expensive for me I can't afford that stuff…
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
if you don't like the tune (or never liked the tune) then you probably don't like kick drums and you might be listening to the wrong music.
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
and that is REALLY awkward if I am the guy that just broke that to you… sorry mate.
— Kaskade (@kaskade) October 29, 2013
Music is not disposable, people. We can twist it, sample it, mash it and experience it in endless ways. Open up.
