Coachella Weekend 1 left the second installment with big shoes to fill. From amazing live sets, to incredible art installations and a coveted celebrity guest list, Coachella managed to once again live up to the hype that its name bears. But despite the stacked list of performers, it was the electronic lineup that delivered an impressive handout of surprise guests, truly solidifying the festival’s successful run. Here are some of the most memorable surprise guest performers who made their way onto the electronic stage.
Dj Snake and Migos
Impressing fans with three guest appearances throughout the weekend, Migos joined DJ Snake to perform their hip-hop collab, “Oh Me Oh My”, also featuring fellow rappers Travis Scott and G4shi. Migos and Dj Snake also surprised fans with a performance of the group’s chart-topping hit, “Bad and Boujee”, amping the crowd and solidifying DJ Snake’s set as one of Coachella’s best of the weekend.
Dillon Francis and G-Eazy
Migos weren’t the only rappers to grace the stage during a DJ set. Day one of Coachella saw Dylan Francis bring G-Eazy to the stage to perform their collaboration “Say Less“. The duo just dropped the song a week earlier, allowing fans to hear the first live performance of their record.
Marshmello and Travis Barker
Marshmello dished out a healthy dose of nostalgia during his set when he brought out the legendary Travis Barker, drummer of our favorite skate punk band Blink 182. Barker played masterfully alongside Marshmello as he dropped his track “Alone”, and even joined Mello in an epic drum battle (which he undoubtedly won).
A$AP Rocky and Mura Masa
Mura Masa stacked his set with guest appearances. Reigning in a total of eight surprise performers, the producer no doubt satisfied the crowd throughout the night. Most notably was A$AP Rocky, who joined the DJ to perform the duos song “Love$ick”, which reached number one on the Spotify viral charts in the UK and the US.
Desiigner and Mura Masa
Mura Masa continued to surprise fans with the debut of his newest collaboration with rapper Desiigner. The 19-year-old, most known for his catchy chart-topping single, “Panda”, graced the stage with Mura Masa, creating an unlikely but refreshing pair. In epic Desiigner fashion, the rapper eventually jumped into the crowd, playfully adding some goofy vibes to Mura Masa’s signature beats.
Anna Lunoe and Skrillex

Talented DJ and the host of Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio, Anna Lunoe took to Coachella like a pro. But even the Australian had no idea her OWSLA buddy Skrillex would be joining her on stage. Though brief, the pair demonstrated their epic friendship and undeniable ability to woo fans with their talent and charm.
Lauryn Hill and Dj Snake

With dozens of amazing performances throughout the weekend, it’s hard to keep track of memorable moments. But DJ Snake did not fall short of that expectation. In addition to Migos, DJ Snake brought out one of hip-hop’s most legendary acts, the talented Lauryn Hill. The singer performed classics from her run with the Fugees such as “Killing Me Softly” and “Ready or Not”, as well as her solo record “Last Ones”. The crowd was no doubt left in shock and pleasantly surprised by her appearance.
