10 Ways Florida’s Boutique Festival, Asteria is Expanding This Year

Asteria continuously promises and expansive musical and art based experience for central Floridians and travelers from around the globe who want to be a part of something unique and intimate, but rapidly growing while staying true to its boutique feel. Here are 10 ways Asteria will be bigger and better than ever this year.

1. New genres added to the lineup.

Asteria is branching out from mostly dubstep and trap artists. They’re making the leap this year and adding in some techno, electro house, and house music, drawing a more diverse crowd than usual with this big and exciting change.

2. Extra stages added to the festival.

Asteria locked in the weekend of 4/20 yet again, which is cause for celebration in itself, but they also added extra stages to the after hours portion in order to showcase all of the talent they’ve brought aboard. This adds so much possibility within the realm of this awesome festival.

3. A new location.

Asteria is moving to a brand-new location this year, home to fully-furnished private villas, bedrooms, full bathrooms and showers, and most importantly, air conditioning. Asteria’s new guest hub will allow festival goers to enjoy indoor dining, premium industry workshops and activities including basketball, volleyball, hiking, biking, private pool parties, and other exclusive events that can be reserved. Nestled in tall pine oak trees on over 120 pristine acres on Lake Pierce surrounded by 16,000 acres of nature preserves, Asteria is conveniently located in the center of Florida, just a short drive from Orlando and Tampa.

4. It’s Asteria’s third year.

Founded in 2017, Asteria has now had 2 years to get up on its feet, guaranteeing you a professionally curated experience. First year festivals can be iffy to some. It’s a possibility that a first-year festival may not be as organized and well carried-out, but with Asteria coming up on its third year, they’ve been in the game for a bit, and know how to throw a well-coordinated, safe, and non-stop party.

5. It may be one of Florida’s last remaining all EDM camping festivals in 2019.

With the devastating downfall of Dirtybird Campout East Coast and Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival this year, it’s looking like Asteria may be your Florida festival that’s ready to give you your EDM and camping fix. While Suwannee is still set to host camping festivals this year, Asteria will have all EDM, which is sure to draw in a unique crowd that is truly there for the music, arts, and camping experience.

6. There will be Shibari 101 classes. Let someone show you the ropes.

Shibari 101 class couple passes are now on sale, and are being led by some high profile artists! These passes run for $125 and include all classes, demonstrations and performances. (4) 1 hour 30 minute Shibari rope classes for two. They are limited to 13 couples and you must have GA admission purchase to the festival. Go get yours at the asteria website!

7. There will be enriching workshops.

Have you ever thought about becoming a DJ, producer, editor, or digital strategy manager? Asteria has different workshops being offered throughout the festival to show you how you can make your way into the greatest industry in the world. All you have to bring is your passion for this lifestyle, and you’ll be able to meet others who feel the same way and who are striving to better themselves. What could be better than that?

8. There is a new way to VIP.

This year, there are some special perks that come with the VIP pass, including free entry to all “Road to Asteria” shows and discount entry for up to 3 additional guests to these shows. You will get to skip the line and engage in a meet and greet with the artists. A concierge will be available to you throughout the festival to guide you and answer any questions you may have. You will also receive an Asteria Arts & Music Festival Lanyard as well as a black card. Lastly, you’ll get access to the VIP lounge. First and second year guests receive membership priority, and these special perks are limited to 100 members, so you’ll feel quite exclusive as a VIP.

9. There are shared and squad villas available.

If you aren’t about that tent life, you can reserve a cabin-like room on the property for you and your friends to enjoy. The private one-bedroom villas sold out quickly, so make sure to get on it soon so you can have the best experience possible!

10. The madness continues after the festival weekend.

Check out Asteria’s closing party with Space Yacht x Savage Society Records on April 25th. The fun never ends, as Asteria plans on keeping you on your toes even after the festival weekend is wrapped up.
