Soundcloud Goes on the Attack

Can’t find some of your favorite songs and artists on Soundcloud anymore? Well, the company is going on the offensive in hopes of trying to make some money. Currently, Soundcloud is free for everyone to use.

Recently, the streaming steaming music website started adding advertisements which would pop up while you were listening. Soundcloud has signed royalty deals with a number of music labels to help fight copyright issues. Now, Soundcloud has removed mixes that include unlicensed tracks, tracks with unlicensed samples, and bootleg remixes that sound like original songs.

Soundcloud wants to be safe from all copyright issues and will be taking down songs that they deem illegal. Soundcloud will be changing in the coming weeks as they move to monetization. Keep it here on EDM Maniac for the latest!
