Awakenings Festival Will Now Take Place In September

The disappointment train just keeps on rolling. Awakenings Festival has announced that they are pushing their festival dates until September, 11 & 12 of this year. Much like EDC Mexico, Awakenings Festival has decided to postpone its event due to COVID-19. Officials believe that it is too soon to host a festival on the initially scheduled dates which were supposed to be June 26 & 27.

Organizers are currently trying to find a location for the event and have not allowed attendees to purchase tickets due to the possibility of the event not taking place because of COVID-19. Current ticketholders of last year’s event have the ability to get their tickets refunded if they chose to do so.

This announcement is just one of the many recent festival cancelation announcements. Other announcements have included Ultra Music Festival, EDC Mexico, and now Awakenings Festival. Although vaccines are starting to become distributed across the world, countries are experiencing their own logistical issues which have caused even more headaches.

Hopefully, as more and more people become vaccinated, we will reach the point of herd immunity and we will be able to return to live events. Only time will tell, but let’s keep our fingers crossed and continue to stay safe.
