The new partnership will transform DJ/Producers into digital avatars

The world of technology and electronic dance music is constantly evolving, and now it will be evolving a little bit more with Beatport’s latest partnership with Wave. The world’s number one destination for electronic music and DJ culture will now be providing cutting-edge broadcast and performance technology which will include top DJ/Producers featured in the BEYOND series. The characters featured in the BEYOND series will now be transformed into digital avatars and will be performing live in a unique and immersive virtual world.

Emerging star, Speaker Honey, will kick off the BEYOND series on Thursday, May 6 with the series continuing on throughout the duration of the summer. There will be 10 shows in total and will include Durante, Haywyre, Marbs, Rinzen, SOHMI, Reid Speed, VNSSA, and Worthy, amongst others. The new partnership will give fans the opportunity to interact with some of their favorite DJs like never before. Live Q&As and voting on virtual scene changes will be part of the interactive environment. Zach Jaffe, Director of Marketing and Partnerships at Beatport, had the following to say about the latest partnership,

“We are thrilled to be taking this first step through a wholly original door of virtual performance interactivity.  To be in partnership with such an incredibly talented collection of electronic musicians and the visionary creators at Wave is a mind-blowing way to bring the global DJ community together.”

As of right now, Wave has hosted more than 50 events for artists including The Weeknd, John Legend, Alison Wonderland, Dillon Francis, and REZZ, to name a few. The BEYOND series is scheduled to take place next week on Thursday, May 6. Fans can RSVP here.
