Blanke has teamed up with fellow producer Grant and vocalist your friend polly on the new heartwarming single, “Heavy Heart,” out on Monstercat.
While the title might seem dark, the song is a melodic-bass love song, released just in time for Valentine’s Day. Meant to be belted from the rooftops, “Heavy Heart” is a reminder to listeners everywhere about the need for unconditional love in the world.
“When you feel broken, no one’s gonna love you like I do. Take a chance, take my hand, I got you, let me hold your heavy heart,” is one of the key lines in the song before the euphoric melodic bass drop.
This section and the rest of the song serve as a reminder to allow others in sometimes when you’re feeling pain that might feel too heavy to carry on one’s own.
“Heavy Heart” is one of Blanke’s softer releases over the last few months. More recently diving into the Drum and Bass scene with his ÆON: MODE alias, the release of this single with Grant is one that brings listeners back to Blanke’s roots.

Grant is no stranger to producing, creating hits such as “Dead Man Walking,” “Are We Still Young,” and even serving as one of the producers behind Tate McCrae‘s viral song “greedy.” Grant offers a more euphoric sound to Blanke’s typically heavier melodic sounds, crafting a perfect melody that is “Heavy Heart.”
