This year April 20, the marijuana holiday, has some extra spunk as bass enthusiast Blunts & Blondes releases his debut LP, Story of A Stoner. The LP gives out a unique sonic aesthetic as Blunts & Blondes incorporates elements of trap and hip-hop with bass and low-fi stylings.
Recently the weed-inspired DJ dropped the track “Think of You” with Zeds Dead, creating a lot of excitement surrounding the album. Another excellent collaboration on the LP includes Lucii on the chill track, “A Million Pieces”. This song is perfect for laying on a beach and jamming all day long. smokepurpp, Lil West, and Yung Pinch are a few of the other guest artists who make an appearance on the album.
Story of A Stoner has a diverse arrangement of sounds that will keep listeners wobbling throughout 13 tracks. Some of the cuts on the LP, like “The Ride,” feature melodic bass noises and wavy synths that will entrance and enthrall. The song “Cowboy Mike” takes more of an experimental stance mixed with trap and hip-hop vocals. Each track off Story of A Stoner will take listeners by surprise and give off a different genius aura of electronic sounds.
Blunts & Blondes is currently set to perform at festivals such as Ubbi Dubbi, EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Imagine, and plenty more, giving fans a number of opportunities to groove to the new album live.
