With New York City gearing up for Electric Zoo (EZoo) in just six weeks, Avant Gardner has announced a special set from deadmau5 coming to the Brooklyn Mirage.
The official Road To EZoo event will see Joel Zimmerman—aka deadmau5, aka Testpilot—bring both of his stellar performance aliases together for a special deadmau5 vs Testpilot set on Friday, August 4, 2023.
It is no secret that deadmau5 is one of the most famous electronic producers in the world, thanks to critically-acclaimed albums and mega-hits including 2009’s “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” and “I Remember”—a collaboration with Kaskade serving as the precursor to recent blockbuster project Kx5.
While deadmau5 is Zimmerman’s cornerstone act, Testpilot represents a darker side of the selector’s music taste as his techno alter-ego. His only official release under the Testpilot moniker is the 2014 single, “Sunspot (White Space Conflict).”
Over the years, Zimmerman has brought Testpilot to venues and festivals across the country—most recently Austin, Texas’ Seismic Spring and Coachella—but the Mirage show will unite both of his iconic aliases on one stage for the first time.
Can one man play back-to-back with himself? Fans will soon find out.
Tickets for deadmau5 vs Testpilot are on sale now via Dice.
