New Orleans BUKU Project 2016 Full Lineup Released

Returning for another year to New Orleans, this year’s BUKU Music + Art Project is set to be another one for the books. One of the more unique festival experiences, the event will take place March 11 & 12 at Mardi Gras World located on the Mississippi River. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of the full lineup since this past fall when the first phase of artists was announced. According to the latest, the already-stacked list of performers that included Kid CudiPretty LightsYellow Claw and CHURCHES will be joined by band Purity Ring, hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd, electronic artist Deorro, and many more!

If you haven’t had the chance to attend BUKU yet, you really should treat yourself and check it out. In 2013, I was privileged enough to go and was blown away by the production quality and incredible atmosphere. Along with amazing musical performances, BUKU stays true to being both a music and art festival with installment art displays and local vendors. This year, they’re “excited to announce that BUKU has commissioned six local New Orleans’ collectives to curate showcases in the grassy “Front Yard” area of the festival grounds” to add to the creative encounter that is the BUKU Music + Art Project.

Tickets of all types are still available here, and travel packages are also available for out-of-towners here.

East coast origin, West coast lifestyle… Growing up I was always surrounded by the sounds of dance music in New York and Florida. However, it wasn’t until college that I was introduced to the rave scene and finally experienced the love and positivity this community is all about. I’m into warehouse undergrounds and massives like Ultra Miami, TomorrowWorld, Nocturnal Wonderland, Hard Day of the Dead, and Buku Music & Art Festival… In addition to EDM, my playlists usually have a lot of Hip-Hop, Top 40 and I’m a huge sucker for throwbacks. Hit me up if you’re attending an event in the Hollywood/LA area, as I’m always open to making new friends!
