Camp EDC Now Subject To Las Vegas Lodging Tax

According to a new email sent out to past EDC Las Vegas campers, Clark County, Nevada has decided that EDC Las Vegas is no longer exempt from their lodging and hotel strip taxes.

Starting September 3rd, Camp EDC will be subject to the same taxes you’d have to pay as if you are staying at a hotel on the strip. Insomniac, the producer of EDC, said they did not expect this coming. Obviously nor did EDC Campers, so Insomniac has decided they will absorb these taxes up until 11:59 pm September 2nd if campers purchase Camp EDC passes by September 2nd at 11:59 PT.

Any other Camp EDC sales that happen after will be subject to the Las Vegas Strip lodging tax. Resort fees in Vegas are taxed at the hotel occupancy tax rate of 13.35%.

We’ll keep you updated as this develops. Tickets for EDC Las Vegas 2020 will be on sale soon. If you camped at EDC last year and would like to camp this year, look out for an email from Insomniac soon.
