Coachella 2016 Art Installations Will Be Bigger Than Ever

We are just days away from weekend 1 of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. The sold-out festival is April 15-17 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

We can always expect the unexpected at this massive Southern California festival, from the live special guests to the art. This year, Coachella has six core art installations that will be grouped together to create an “epic art experience.” That is according to Paul Clemente who is Coachella’s art director.

Expect bigger, more expensive and ambitious works than ever before. There will be performance-based acts including the circus-inspired Lucent Dossier Experience and the DoLab Stage. Also, those infamous balloons that slowly rise into the sky will be back for the 6th year in a row. They are the brainchild of artist Robert Bose. The largest single piece of art to ever be moved out to the desert will be there this week. Any guesses as to what it might be?

Expect this year’s art to be on point and provide you the perfect backdrop for your Instagram selfie. A big part of this festival is the art, so be sure to check it all out while you’re at Coachella! We’ve seen giant astronauts, big butterflies and a massive caterpillar. What will 2016 have in store? Find out in just a couple of days!

You can read more about the art HERE. We’ll see you there for weekend 2!
