Danny Avila Presents His New Project MainStage Techno

Over the last few years, techno has become one of the most in-demand dance music genres. The thumping and throbbing beats are moving out of the dark and dingy warehouse to the huge stages around the world, and Spanish-born DJ and Producer, Danny Avila, is leaning into the trend with his new concept, Mainstage Techno.

Avila premiered the new show during Tomorrowland‘s virtual festival, Around The World. The concept combines the scope of massive festival production with the refined sound of techno. He then performed the new show in front of a live audience this past September at UNTOLD Festival in Europe. Watch the full set below.

“I started working on the Mainstage Techno topic about a year ago, but I decided to not show absolutely anything about it until I was 100% sure the concept was ready and the music too,” Danny Avila explains. “For me the best way to present new music is at Tomorrowland. Right now I have about 15 finished tracks that I’ve been working on in the past year. I come from a very different background than most of the EDM artists. I started DJing in Marbella and Ibiza when I was very young and I grew up listening to completely different music than what I am probably known for. So underground music has always been a part of me.”
