Today, Insomniac has confirmed the return of Day Trip Festival for 2024, alongside a number of improvements and amenities for when the two-day event kicks off this summer.
The Southern California house music festival will come back to Long Beach, California’s Queen Mary Waterfront for a third straight edition on June 22 and 23, 2024.
In addition to locking in dates for Day Trip 2024, organizers also shared on Instagram that they’ve “put in work to renovate the festival grounds even further” for the event’s “biggest and best year yet.” An expanded layout for this year’s Day Trip Festival will allow for 25 percent more bathrooms, improved crowd control, extra shade structures, “leveled-up stage designs” and more.
No lineup has been announced yet, but Day Trip Festival 2023 featured huge performances from Duke Dumont, James Hype, MEDUZA, Dom Dolla and more.
In 2024, Day Trip will fully introduce techno at the festival for the first time in its four-year history. Day Trip’s High Tide main stage will host house, tech house and disco sets, while its Deep End stage will give life to underground, minimal and techno performances. A third Shoreline stage will feature local artists and more.
As seen in 2023, Day Trip’s late-night counterpart, Night Trip, will host official festival afterparties on board the Queen Mary, with two stages located in the ship’s ballrooms.
Fans can also book a weekend hotel stay on the retired ocean liner. As part of a weekend Day Trip accommodation package, guests will receive access to their own dedicated festival entrance, an exclusive viewing deck of the High Tide stage and a pair of two-day afterparty passes for each room.
Fans can register for the 2024 Day Trip Festival pre-sale here. Pre-sale and general on-sale will begin this Thursday, February 29.
Day Trip Festival 2023 ticketholders will have first access to the pre-sale window at 10AM PT. Day Trip’s SMS pre-sale will follow at 11AM PT before general on-sale begins at 12PM PT.
